Nanga Parbat is the ninth highest mountain on Earth with gigantic height of 8126 m . Nanga Parbat translates to "Naked Mountain" in English. From the Sanskrit word parvata meaning "mountain, rock", and nanga an Urdu word meaning "naked". It is Known as the "Killer Mountain,” and deadliest for climbers in the first half of the twentieth century. It is also giant, dramatic peak that rises far above its surrounding terrain. It lies just south of the Indus River in the Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan in Pakistan.
