Pakistan is home to many mighty mountains above 7,000 meters (22,970 ft). The World highest mountains Five (5) out of fourteen (14) peaks above 8,000 m are in Pakistan, four of which are at the head of Baltoro glacier in Karakoram near Concordia and one at the end of western Himalya range. These ranges covered 68 peaks over 7,000 m and hundreds others of over 6,000 meters.
The Northern Pakistan has some of the longest glaciers outside Polar region; Siachen (72 km), Hispar (61 km), Biafo (60 km), Baltoro (60 km) and Batura (64 km).

Most of the high peaks in Pakistan are in Karakoram range, the highest of which is K2 also known as Mount Godowin Austin. It is the second-highest mountain on Earth after Mount Everest. With a peak elevation of 8,611 meters (28,251 ft).
